ASP DC to invest 1,65 billion Euro in Finland
3 December 2025
ASP DC is proud to announce a significant milestone in our Nordic growth strategy: we have secured a highly mature, large-scale datacenter site in Pori, Finland, positioning us to begin construction in early 2026.
The property, one of the most advanced and power-ready locations we have evaluated across the region, enables a Phase 1 build-out of 150 MW, with a clear pathway to scale beyond 400 MW in Phase 2 and future expansions. The site combines immediate power availability with long-term scalability, making it uniquely suited for next-generation AI and high-density compute needs.
Reaching an agreement with the seller, CompassForge Ventures marks the culmination of a thorough and constructive process, and we are thrilled to now move forward. As part of this development, ASP DC has formed a strategic partnership with EcoGrid.Energy, ensuring that the project not only consumes power responsibly but also contributes to grid stability through innovative balancing solutions. This partnership allows us to play a dual role: a large consumer supporting Finland’s digital growth and a stabilizer supporting the regional energy system.
We are equally excited about the opportunity to integrate the Pori district heating network into the project. By utilizing excess heat from the datacenter, ASP DC will contribute to reducing emissions, improving energy efficiency, and supporting local sustainability initiatives—bringing tangible value to the community.
ASP DC looks forward to becoming a part of the City of Pori. The development will create substantial local value—both during construction and throughout the operational phase—through new jobs, long-term investment, and collaboration with local suppliers, partners, and stakeholders.
This new campus represents a major step in delivering scalable, sustainable, and future-ready datacenter infrastructure to the Nordic region. We are excited for the journey ahead and for the strong partnership with Pori, EcoGrid, and the broader Finnish ecosystem.
